The San Antonio Spurs won the NBA Championship and Gregg Popovich was awarded Coach of the Coach of the Year. This is good news for the Spurs will face their opponents, the visiting Spurs on Wednesday night in their Western Conference quarterfinals on Wednesday evening.


Popovich received the award for Coach of the Year Tuesday for the second straight time after leading the Spurs in their 50 regular season victories. In the opener of the series, San Antonio beat Utah Jazz 106 to 91.
